Time for a change when it comes to Almaguin's health care
Apr 02, 2008
To the Editor:
Just a note to let you know that I, as a user of this service, am ashamed that this Province will let the after hours and weekend service (at the Burk’s Falls and District Health Centre) disappear all over a sum of $100,000.
When we can pay people more than that in a year to make decisions about healthcare for all the population in an area from Parry Sound to Huntsville and North Bay, I consider this a downright slap in the face for the people of this area.
It has always been said ‘politics is a game.’ It sure as hell is when we that do the electing are used as the ball being tossed around and no one cares.
By the way, when will Burk’s Falls’ medical centre ever get out from under Huntsville’s care?
It always seems when Huntsville cannot balance the books that Burk’s Falls takes the beating. Time for a change.
