Peacefully, after a lengthy battle with cancer at the Burk’s Falls District Health Centre on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 in her 76th year. Irene Smith (nee Kilpatrick), beloved wife of Percy Smith of Burk’s Falls.

Dear mother of Carl Smith (Marlene), Neil Smith and Keith Smith (Lynn). Loving grandmother of Cheryl (Jay), Christopher (Trish), Elizabeth (Jeff), Matthew, Ruth (Sean), David (Dayna), Stephanie, Danielle and great-grandmother of Samantha, Alex, Steven, Justin and Miyah. Cherished sister of Don Kilpatrick and Arnold Kilpatrick (Peggy). Predeceased by her sister Yvonne. Fondly remembered by her many other relatives and friends.

Family received visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street, Burk’s Falls on Thursday, March 6, 2008 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.

A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Irene Smith was conducted in the chapel on Friday, March 7, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Freda and the Reverend Graham MacDonald officiating. Spring interment Burk’s Falls Cemetery.
