Sentencing postponed for pregnant woman
Mar 13, 2008
SUNDRIDGE – A 23-year-old Kearney woman pled guilty to dangerous driving causing bodily harm in Sundridge provincial court on March 4, but she will not receive her sentence until May.

Tammy Murdy was charged following a rollover on Rain Lake Road on the morning of May 19. According to the police report, Murdy was speeding at the time, and engaged in an argument with one of her three passengers. The car began to fishtail and rolled over, causing injury to the occupants, including a broken arm.

Murdy's attorney requested that sentencing be postponed until May, as she is dealing with a number of matters, including the birth of a child, expected in April.

Justice Lawrence Klein postponed sentencing until May 13.
