Passed away peacefully at the Eastholme Home for the Aged, Powassan on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 in her 90th year. Louise Mitchell (nee Gage), beloved wife of the late Charles Mitchell. Loving mother of Jean Wanless (Warren) of Sundridge and Ross Mitchell (Kim) of Winnipeg. Cherished grandmother of Alissa and Mitchell Wanless, Charley, Delaney and Mackenzie McDonald-Mitchell. Predeceased by her parents James and Hazel (Buchanan) Gage and sister Geraldine Saacke. Fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Dorothy Mitchell, her many nieces, nephews and her many friends in the area.

Family received visitors at the Knox Presbyterian Church, Sundridge on Sunday, March 2, 2008 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Louise “Weezie” Mitchell was conducted in the Knox Presbyterian Church on Monday, March 3, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. with the Reverend Les Drayer and the Reverend Freda MacDonald officiating.

Spring interment at the Strong Cemetery, Sundridge.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Knox Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, Eastholme Home for the Aged, Sundridge Food Bank, Burk’s Falls Health Centre or the charity of your choice.
