Peacefully after an 11 year battle with cancer at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Honolulu, Hawaii on Monday, February 18, 2008 in her 64th year. Laura Rowley (nee Phillips), beloved wife of Joe Rowley of Burk’s Falls, Dear mother of Ken Rowley (Wendy) of Emsdale and Connie Rowley (Peter) of Oakville. Loving grandmother of Cheryl (Nick), Tammy, Andrew, Rebecca and great-grandmother of Megan, Alex, Ashley, Mercedes, John and Paton. Cherished sister of Cora Ilman (late John), Buster Phillips (Linda), Pauline Smith (Ike) and pre-deceased by sister Glenda Todd (Jim). Fondly remembered by her many other relatives and friends.

Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street, Burk’s Falls on Saturday, March 1, 2008 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Laura Rowley will be conducted in the chapel on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverends Graham and Freda MacDonald officiating.
