Peacefully at Eastholme Home for the Aged, Powassan on Friday, February 15, 2008 in her 93rd year. Alma Walter of Eastholme (formerly of Sundridge), (nee Muir) beloved wife of the late Bill Walter and the late Walter Schneider. Dear mother of Donna Mitchell (Ron Burns) of North Bay, Hazel Rowley (Edgar) of Burk’s Falls, the late Glenn Schneider and step-mother of Barbara Harris (Kris) of Michigan and Diane Doyen (late Larry) of Illinois. Loving grandmother of Lisa Scheuneman (David), Mark Schneider (Jeanette), Glenn Phinney, Andrew Mitchell and step-grandmother of Kellie Bardouche (Keith), Stephanie DuRocher (Eric), Steven Doyen (Lisa) and Greg Doyen. Great-grandmother of Emily, Cassandra, Lucas, Alexandria, Duncan, Breanna and step-great-grandmother of Brandon, Sydney, Tyrus, Desi, Derick and Devin. Cherished sister of Everett Muir (Eleanor) and predeceased by sisters Lura Schneider and Coralie Lennox, brothers James and Roy Muir. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends in the area.

The late Mrs. Alma Walter rested at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street, Sundridge on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted at the Bethel Pentecostal Church, Sundridge on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Dan Thompson officiating. Cremation to follow.
