Vehicle not a 'toy' says Chisholm council

This is in response to the article entitled ‘Use of personal vehicles issue with Chisholm public works,’ published in the Nov. 29, 2007 edition of the Almaguin Forester.

Chisholm Township council is requesting that you print a retraction with respect to the above-noted article. Council took offence to the first sentence of the article regarding the mention of a “new toy” for public works staff. A new vehicle for the Public Works Department is a necessary item and not a toy, as mentioned in the article, which council may consider during 2008 budget deliberations.
