Furor over insult will not go away

I read the letter by Todd Carlson in the Nov. 14 Almaguin News entitled Should I laugh or cry or take a common sense drug? The facts as I understand them are spot on.

As a Magnetawan taxpayer, I would like to ask this question: Is our municipality paying this April 26 lawyer’s bill or is the mayor going to be required to pay it? Before this fiasco is over, how much more in legal fees is the municipality going to pay? Again, is the mayor going to pay whatever these legal costs are or is the municipality going to pay them?

This is not municipal business. This is the mayor making derogatory comments about one of our taxpayers. He should be totally responsible for comments of this nature. As Todd Carlson states, this could all have been cleared up with a simple apology.

I understand the Kays have moved away from our community. If this is the reason they moved, we as taxpayers should be totally ashamed of the actions of our council. Yes, our council. They should
